Edward Blanch
PRESIDENT
Edward is an affiliate owner in Southern California and is a CrossFit L3 coach. He has been judging elite level competitions since 2017 including the CrossFit Games, Semifinals, Sactionals and the Rogue Invitational. Edward is the original author of the JAG white paper that would be used as the foundation for what would become the AFJ group.
Originally from the UK, he has lived in the US since 2017. A former theater Producer, Director and Choreographer and has been involved in multi-million dollar projects in the US, Europe and Asia as well as the international charity HOPE with projects in Ghana, Romania, India and Zambia.
VICE PRESIDENT
Jules has been judging at elite level CrossFit events since 2017 including the CrossFit Games, regionals, sanctionals, semifinals and Rogue. She has held leadership roles at multiple events to include Crossfit Semifinals, WZA and other Sanctional events since 2019. Currently maintains her Level 1 & 2 certifications as well as coaches regularly at her local gym.
Jules has a Bachelor degree in Business Marketing from James Madison University and a certificate of professional education in Financial Planning from Georgetown University. She has 17 years of experience in the finance market, working with various Fortune 500 companies. Currently she maintains multiple securities & insurance licenses as well as CFP ® certification.

Amy Stone
TREASURER
Amy discovered CrossFit in 2010 and has held Judge and Leadership positions at all levels of competition since 2014, including Judge Director, Head Judge, Asst Head Judge and Team Lead at the CrossFit Games, Regionals, Sanctionals, Semifinals, Granite Games, Rogue Invitational and Wodapalooza. Amy currently holds a Level 2 certificate among a number of CrossFit supplemental courses and certs.
Amy has been in the Financial Services industry for 25 years, where she currently serves as Asst Vice President for a leading Investment Bank, managing a Capital Commitment Committee that reviews proposed capital raise strategies for public and private offerings.
Brian Folger
SECRETARY
Brian started judging at the Granite Games in 2015. From that first comp he was hooked and started applying for comps at every level of the sport. Since that time he has had the privilege to judge alongside some of the best people both at home and abroad. Be it as a lane judge, team lead, or head judge, he has had the opportunity to interact with every level of athlete in competitions both big and small.
Brian has a masters in Food Science from the University of Minnesota and has worked as a chemist at a food company for the last 8 years. Currently his area of focus is flavor technology and data analytics.
Thuy Le
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Thuy found her passion for CrossFit in 2013 and began her judging career at Granite Games 2015. She has since judged at all levels of events from Regionals, Sanctionals, Semifinals to the Games. Her leadership roles have ranged from team lead and assistant head judge to head judge, assistant director, and director of judges. She currently maintains her CrossFit Level 2 and works out of her garage gym.
Thuy has a Bachelors in Management Information Systems and owned a thriving small business from 2004-2021 where she regularly trained new hires. Presently, she is employed by a Montana construction company, where her responsibilities range from Project Manager to Business Manager, showcasing her versatility and expertise in various capacities.
Brian Clapp
DIRECTOR OF COMPETITION
Brian has been judging at all levels of CrossFit from the Sectionals, Regionals, Super Regionals, Sanctionals and Games since 2011. He has held leadership roles at all levels including international CrossFit events. He maintains his Level 2 certification as well as coaching regularly at two local CrossFit boxes. He is married to a multiple Age Group CrossFit Games champion and he has competed on the National Team for masters olympic lifting at both the Pan Am and World Championships.
Brian has advanced degrees in Civil Engineering and Project Management, is a licenced Professional Engineer and Certified Construction Manager. Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps and 10 years of real estate development in luxury student housing and affordable senior housing markets throughout the United States.
